5 Parties, 5 Communities at 5 Precincts

The Greater Cincinnati Urban League (GCUL), under the leadership of Executive Director Chara F. Jackson, Esq., was awarded a grant to host 5 non-partisan parties in 5 communities across the city of Cincinnati. The goal was to raise awareness around the importance of voting regardless of party lines. This was the first time that any organization hosted this many events across the city not just locally, but nationally. the parties were hosted at First Presbryterian Church of Westwood, North Avondale Montessori, New Prospect Baptish Church in Roselawn, First Baptish Church of Kennedy Heights, and Madisonville Recreation Center.

The team at CM-W was extremely honored to be asked to suppot this project to ensure all 5 parties went off seemlessly. There were 4 requirements:

The Parties had to be hosted in 5 underserved communities
The parties had to ensure that all activities were non-partisan
All activities (i.e. food, activities and entertainmnt) must be free to the public
We added the caviat of a 70% diverse spend goal

Due to the dilgent work of the GCUL project team, the parties went as planned with over 900 participants. Special thanks to our vendors, site coordinators and site sponsors for the support of this venture. The vendors for this event included:
